Grief In The Garden

A space to process and put to rest
the grief you’ve been carrying.

Join Alexandra Diamond LMT, CST-T of Honored Body for a personal, one-on-one grief ceremony in the flower garden
at Sunblossom Farm in Cully.

Grief ceremonies have been practiced by numerous cultures for thousands of years. Whether it is a closing ceremony for the ending of a relationship or a life stage; a celebration of rememberance for a lost loved one or pet; or the alchemization of collective grief and anxiety for one’s community or the world at large, ceremony has and can play an important role in our mental and emotional wellbeing.

As the world around us continues to change in ways that can often feel overwhelming and untenable, we are starved for the rites of passage which allow us to process and incorporate the wisdom from challenging events in our lives. As a CranioSacral Therapist Alexandra aims to bring you home to your bodily, human experience; to transmute old patterns and co-create new spaces for your energy and creativity to flow.

Tea and Grief Ceremony
45-60 min

As we sip a sun-warmed blend of tea from friends at Hedgerow Herb Co., we will discuss the object of your grief, how it has shown up in your life, and where it has lived in your body. We will use an item that you bring or a representation of the grief (stone) to hold close to your heart, to speak into and share gratitude for the lessons of the grief.

CranioSacral Therapy Session
60-75 min

Transitioning onto the table, we will find the places in the body where grief has taken residency. Using CranioSacral techniques of melding, tissue release, and speaking to the inner physician, we will allow the tissue to release long-held emotions and repattern into a more resilient and relaxed form.

Integration and U-Pick
30 min

Integrate your session with a calm walk around the garden to pick a bouquet of flowers. Fresh cut flowers are a beautiful reminder that nothing lasts forever, and that the present moment is the most precious.
